Chiropractic
One of the largest primary-contact health care professions in Ontario, chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system.
Chiropractors practice a manual approach in combination with other types of treatments, based on the specific needs of the individual patient. After taking a complete history and diagnosing a patient, a chiropractor can develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.
There are many reasons to seek chiropractic care:
-Back pain
-Neck pain
-Headache
-Whiplash
-Strains and sprains
-Repetitive strain injury (RSI)
-Work and sports injuries
-Prenatal and Postnatal related pain
-Arthritis
-Limited range of motion in the back, shoulder, neck or limbs
-General health and well-being
Chiropractic is a regulated health profession, recognized by statute in all Canadian provinces and American states. Almost 2 million patients in Ontario rely on chiropractic care every year to help them live healthy, active lives.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a regulated rehabilitation profession that focuses on improving physical function and preventing future injury. Physiotherapists work with individuals of all ages and can address a variety of conditions, from post-operative or acute injuries to chronic, long-standing issues. They treat the client as a whole by looking at not only the site of pain, but also at contributing factors such as ergonomics at work, posture, movement patterns and lifestyle. By working together, a physiotherapist can help you get back to the lifestyle and activities you love with confidence and strength in a pain-free manner.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor physiotherapists are Registered Physiotherapists who are specially trained to assess the musculature and soft tissues within the pelvic floor, a series of muscles, ligaments and fascia that sit like a basin at the bottom of your pelvis. These pelvic floor structures help to support your abdominal and pelvic organs, form a part of the inner core muscles and help with bladder, bowel and sexual function. Our techniques may include internal pelvic floor release, biofeedback to assist in strengthening, external hands on therapy, corrective exercise strategies, lifestyle modification suggestions and education so that you can carry on treatment at home...
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is a comprehensive intervention involving a range of techniques to manipulate the soft tissues and joints of the body. The purpose of massage therapy is to prevent, develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function or relieve pain. It is a clinically-oriented health option that achieves undeniable results in the relief of an array of discomforts stemming from stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes. The therapeutic process is a partnership between client and therapist, working together towards common and realistic goals.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture
Hundreds of clinical studies on the benefits of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture show that it successfully treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems (back pain, neck pain, and others) to nausea, migraine headache, anxiety, depression, insomnia, infertility, and more.
Acupuncture involves the use of extremely thin, sterile, and disposable needles to stimulate specific acupuncture points - this energy stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain to promote physical and emotional well-being.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a system that uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself. The goal of naturopathic medicine is to treat the whole person -- that means mind, body, and spirit. It also aims to heal the root causes of an illness -- not just stop the symptoms. Naturopathic medicine embraces many therapies, including herbs, massage, acupuncture, exercise, and nutritional counseling, and focuses on education and prevention, so your doctor may give you diet, exercise, or stress management tips.
Naturopathic medicine is used for most health issues. Some of the more common ones include:
-Allergies
-Headaches
-Fertility issues
-Digestive problems
-Obesity
-Hormonal imbalances
-Chronic pain
-Chronic fatigue syndrome
You don’t have to be sick to try naturopathy. You may just want to boost your overall health or prevent an illness.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy refers to a variety of treatments that aim to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. Most psychotherapy takes place one-on-one with a licensed mental health professional or with other patients in a group setting.
Custom Orthotics
This appointment includes a biomechanical assessment, gait analysis and potentially a mold of your foot, depending on individual insurance requirements.
If you order an orthotic this fee is put towards your orthotic order.
Medical Compression Stocking Fitting
This appointment is to take measurements in order to properly fit the right compression sock/stocking.
Medical-grade compression stockings offer a higher performance and more benefits than the over-the-counter compression wear found at a drugstore. Medical-grade compression stockings also come in different strengths (20-30mmHg, 30-40mmHg, 40-50 mmHg and 50-60mmHg) and sizes to ensure the right amount of pressure is applied to properly address your specific medical needs.
Fascial Stretch Therapy
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a gentle, assisted stretching method that helps improve how your body moves and feels. It focuses on the fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, joints, and bones.
Unlike regular stretching, FST targets deeper layers of your body to reduce stiffness, increase flexibility, and ease pain. During a session, a certified therapist will gently move and stretch your body in ways that you can't do on your own. It’s relaxing, pain-free, and can help you feel looser, lighter, and more mobile.
FST is great for anyone dealing with tightness, limited movement, or just looking to feel and move better.
**For Insurance Claims: If you are looking to bill this appointment under your insurance please book a combined FST & acupuncture treatment that will entail some acupuncture**
